Lipoma

A lipoma is a fat lump that occurs in your body’s soft tissues and is usually harmless.

It’s the most common tumor to form under your skin. They occur in upper body, arms, or thighs.

Symptoms of Lipoma
  • Encapsulated: They don’t extend to the tissues surrounding them

Causes of Lipoma

Some health conditions cause multiple lipomas to appear on the body. Lipoma-causing conditions include:

  • Hereditary multiple lipomatosis
  • Gardner syndrome
